President Obama

Dear President Obama,

In the new world there are things that are wright and things that are wrong. The war right now that is going on will not stop in a week, it is going to keep going on. The economy right now we cant change unless we are one and this country is not one. What our country used to represent was our nation is one under the 16Th president. The tax's are not going to get lower and our government wont give up a fight. If you want something done, you have to do it for yourself. There is not just a war in Iraq there is a war in our nation. High school students are facing it everyday, we are seeing our parents loosing jobs and suffering in life. What is going to happen when we are ready to get out on our own and get a life, when we cant afford one? There is a war going on right here in the country you serve. What are you going to do about this one?

Flight 1549

Flight 1549

Flight 1549 was the plane I was taking; I was going for a business trip to North Carolina. I watched other people load their planes and people running trying not to be late. As I sat I contemplated on different things in life wondering what if something happened on the way to my meeting, but I never actually thought it would happen till this very day. As I dazed off in to my own world I heard the voice of the young women in the booth call out the flight numbers.
“Flight 1549 to North Carolina. This is the last call for flight 1549 to North Carolina.” That was my plane so as I walked and waited in a small line to hand her my ticket and watched people with there children, and wives and husbands go down the small tunnel to the plane. I handed my boarding pass to the young women and I take my first steps in to the tunnel. When I hit the door to step on to the plane my retrying thoughts I had before I boarded the plane come back to mind. We take our seats as the intercom comes on and tells us about the flight time and seat belts and safety exits.
When the plane started to take off a loud raucous went off and the plane started to go down. The pilot had the plane under control as we went sliding across the Hudson River. People where yelling and trying to figure out what was going on, children where crying. Having to find away out of the plane being in freezing cold water was so hard, we make our way on to the wings of the plane. We stand and wait we see a man coming over with his boat, helicopters flying over head. We were being saved.
Only 3 minutes went by and our plane crashes, that day I was so happy to be alive. Thinking about what if something happening can really wake you up, my life I will not take for granted. If it was not for the men in the boats coming to save everyone on the plane myself and the hundreds of people on the plane could be dead. Flight 1549 in my mind will never be forgotten it was a wake up call for some people.
